LOFTE TO HOST "BRANSON ON THE ROAD"

Once again, the Lofte Community theatre is proud to be host to a visiting professional production. "Branson on the Road" brings the fun of a Branson show directly to you. Classic country, hilarious comedy, bluegrass, rockabilly and hand clappin' gospel ensures this will be a fun time for the entire family!

The show stars Debbie Horton, best known for having been the only woman to have ever played lead guitar for Johnny Cash. She has hosted her own show at the old BoxCar Willie Theater in Branson and has performed on the famous Louisiana Hayride and Ernest Tubb Midnite Jamboree in Nashville. She was a radio DJ at a major market radio station in Norfolk, Virginia and acted as MC for concerts with Kenny Rogers, Hank Williams, Jr., the Oak Ridge Boys, and many more. Among her other credits, Debbie is an accomplished songwriter. She has had her songs recorded by Wanda Jackson, Norma Jean and many other country singers.

Also performing in the show is Donnie Wright, an expert and respected musican, arranger. He is versatile on many instruments including fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo and bass. A veteran performer of stage and TV, his experience includes a long list of successful performances including The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, The Presley's Show in Branson, The Pine Mountain Jamboree in Eureka Springs, and a long-standing run at The Golden Nugget in Las Vegas.

Brian Capps also joins Debbie and Donnie, as he plays upright bass and sings songs reminiscent of Marty Robbins and Hank Williams. Brian's latest recording reached the Top 10 of the Americana Charts and is on the regular music rotation on XM Radio.

SHOW DATES at the Lofte are Friday, March 9 and Saturday March 10. All tickets are $20. There is no reserved seating for this event. Seating is strictly first-come, first-serve.
